Hole In One From j Ryder Group is Teacher's Dream
“We all have dreams and ambitions of success and that’s a lesson I teach to my students and athletes, that
you should always believe in yourself and success often follows,” said Brett Montier.

Getting a hole in one is a golfer’s dream. For a high school teacher/coach in Sealy Texas, it was more than a
lucky break that day. Brett Montier has always had a passion for sports. He’s dedicated his life, 24 years to
be exact, to teaching high school kids on and off the field. As a teacher at Sealy High School, he sees the
impact that learning and hard work has every day. Montier teaches 11th grade English, coaches football, and
is the Head baseball coach in Sealy. Montier took up golf after college, and with such a busy teaching and
coaching schedule, he enjoys golf primarily in the summer and gets out to the course when he can.
He was invited to the Franklin Novicke Memorial event by a friend, and the Mayor of Sealy. Montier got
the call to come play when someone else dropped out. “It was a shot-gun start that day and when I looked at
the hole and saw the car on it I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be nice if I could win that car,” said Montier.
He recalls, being the last one in the golf cart and jumping out to look at the distance. “It was hole #5, 173
yards and I could see the flag clearly. I was playing a 6 Iron Titleist and was just thinking about hitting a
good shot. We watched the shot all the way to the green and couldn’t believe it when we saw the reaction
from everyone at the hole yelling, it’s in the hole,” added Montier. “We all have dreams and ambitions of
success and that’s a lesson I teach to my students and athletes, that you should always believe in yourself
and success often follows,” added Montier.
The Ford Hole in One Prize Package, administered by J. Ryder Group, was a huge success all the way
around for Montier and the sponsoring auto dealer, Ryan Ford in Sealy Texas. “This was one of the most
memorable moments I’ve had in sports, and it seemed unbelievable that day. I hadn’t even left the green
when my wife and other members of the community heard about my hole in one via social media. I won a
Ford Focus and my friends, family, and students were so excited for me,” said Montier.
“We were so happy to hear about Brett Montier’s hole in one and how his students and community were so
excited for him! We've had tremendous success in working with our dealers to bring these amazing prizes to
tournaments. It not only presents event organizers with a powerful tool to attract players and sponsors to
their events, but it also provides our dealers with an excellent marketing opportunity and great exposure in
the communities they serve." said Jamie Ryder, Founder & CEO of J. Ryder Group and Golf Digest Planner
